Introducing idflyer
During the second week of February 2026 we will be introducing a new branding - idflyer - signposted with the more modern brandmark that you see above.
What will change
At cutover the home page will migrate to idflyer.com. All static content describing our services, and the links to the flight search application will live here.
The look and feel of the entire site will be refreshed with a more modern style.
The new positioning will become: idflyer - standby loads powered by idDeals.
You will begin to see emails concerning aspects of your membership coming from @idflyer.com replacing the current @iddeals.com
What will NOT change
Your membership and its terms and conditions remain unchanged, other than the terms 'iddeals' and 'idflyer' will become interchangeable. You need do nothing.
The standby search application will remain under the iddeals.com domain. It will behave exactly as before, except that the primary menu links will return you to content on idflyer.com
Our membership database where you signup, which holds your member profile, and which controls your access to the flight search application will remain under the iddeals.com domain.
Your payment details will continue to be securely held by our third party payment processor, stripe.com
Why we are continuing partial hosting on the idDeals.com server
By keeping the membership database hosting on the idDeals.com server and maintaining our links there to our two key external suppliers - the raw flight data, and the payment processor - we ensure stability without risk to our service, and avoid our members having to make any changes.
Why we are doing this
There are a three main reasons:
1. When idDeals began, over 20 years ago, our sole focus was on airline industry 'deals', specifically hotel rates. We no longer offer the hotel search. Our focus is now on providing flight load forecasts, not 'deals.'
2. The inclusion of the word 'deals' in our domain name and email address can cause some recipient email providers to treat our communications as spam. That is why some of you may have requested a password reset and never received a reply. Or perhaps you missed out on the automated reminder email about your upcoming recurring payment. With our new @idflyer.com email communications these issues will go away.
3. idDeals has served us well, but it is a hard name to verbalise. When telling someone the name, the response is often 'what, do you mean ideal with 2 'ds'?'
Why we chose to use idflyer
In our member survey in early January 2026 this name won out over others. Several other options were suggested but unfortunately the best of those were already taken. There was strong support for remaining with the idDeals name, but for the reasons outlined above we have chosen not to do this. Don't worry, the name change will not affect the service!
